Concept and explanation

What MRO Means for Aircraft Structures

Structural MRO for composites and aerostructures focused on repair, maintenance, and overhaul of critical components using advanced materials and proven techniques. We apply certified expertise to large airframe structures—fuselage, wings, and composite assemblies—working with carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar, and Nomex® honeycomb from preventive inspections to full restorations. All work is performed under FAA/EASA Part 145 with NDT verification, validated cure processes, and OEM-equivalent finishes.

What Each Term Means

Maintenance

Scheduled servicing and inspections that prevent issues before they arise and keep systems running efficiently.

Repair

Restoring components to working condition after damage or malfunction, ensuring continued compliance and performance.

Overhaul

Complete disassembly, inspection, and rebuild of a part or system restoring it to “like new” condition, often after reaching a defined service limit.

What we offer

Complete Structural MRO Capabilities

From minor sheet metal work to full fuselage restoration, DAS provides certified, end-to-end solutions for large aircraft structures. Our teams operate with precision, compliance, and a focus on reducing downtime — no matter the scale of the repair.

Major & Minor Structural Repairs

We address corrosion, cracking, and impact damage across primary and secondary structures. Repairs include localized reinforcements and part replacements per approved data. All work is documented for audit-ready traceability.

01

Fuselage & Wing Section Replacement

Certified teams perform controlled disassembly with alignment and measurement to protect geometry. Sections are installed, fastened, and sealed to restore strength and contour. Finishing returns the area to service with OEM-equivalent protection.

02

Advanced Composite Repairs

We restore panels, fairings, nacelles (fan, inlet, core cowls, thrust reversers, exhaust/fairing structures), control surfaces, and radomes. Methods include bonded and bolted repairs with validated cure cycles and environmental controls. Specialized structures such as winglets, strut fairings, and engine ducts are also supported.

03

Control Surface Overhaul

Certified repair and balancing of flaps, slats, rudders, ailerons, elevators, and spoilers. Hinge-line restoration and hardware renewal return correct geometry and keep free-play under the standard limits. Balance checks and return-to-service are completed per approved data.

04

Corrosion & Fatigue Damage Restoration

We perform detailed inspections to define the repair scope and remove root-cause damage. Treatments include blending, material replacement, and protective finishing. Results extend structural life while maintaining compliance, and our detailed inspections and precision repairs extend the structural life of your aircraft.

05

NDT & Structural Inspection Services

Capabilities include ultrasonic A- and C-scan, eddy current, and fluorescent penetrant for hidden damage detection. Magnetic particle and other methods are applied as required by the structure and material. Level III oversight ensures procedure integrity and reporting quality.

06

Integration with DER Structural Repairs

For oversized or OEM “replace-only” components, we coordinate DER-approved engineering. Typical applications include nacelles, thrust reversers, radomes, and flight controls. This path can reduce lead time and cost while meeting FAA/EASA requirements.
